REYNOLDSBURG, Ohio (WTVN) --A 17-year old from Blacklick has been charged in the murder of 18-year old Danielle Michaels.
Her body was found near Reynoldsburg School's Summit Road campus late Monday afternoon by a man walking his dog.
Shortly after a news conference Tuesday morning by Reynoldsburg Police Chief Jim O'Neill, Licking County Prosecutor Ken Oswalt announced that Adrien McGee had been charged with murder and was slated for an appearance in Licking County Juvenile Court.
Oswalt said additional charges against McGee are possible and that he possibly could be tried as an adult.
O'Neill said McGee has confessed to "taking an active role" in Michael's death.
He says her parents reported her missing Saturday night, about the time she and McGee went to a park, where they smoked marijuana. Others with them went to a party, but they chose not to go, O'Neill said.
Following the discovery of Michael's body, Reynoldsburg Schools decided to cancel Tuesday classes at Summit High and Elementary Schools.
